Time To Wake Up
To say there are a lot of interesting things happening in today’s world is a great understatement. But to me it is strange that people basically are still going about every day life not questioning why these things are happening. Oh, some come up with theories such as El Nino or El Nina, global warming or solar flares when it comes to why they think the weather patterns are so disastrous in recent years. I haven’t heard any really good theories on why they think the economy is in a mess all over the world.
Even those who may be looking for some kind of answer are often not looking in the place where the answers are already found. That is because the answers are found in the Bible and they don’t want to admit that they will be held accountable to someone beyond themselves.
People can claim all they wish that the Bible is a book of myths and fairy tales, but those who make those claims are willfully ignorant. They are denying history itself. The prophecies in the Bible either have been fulfilled, are currently being fulfilled, or will be fulfilled. Isn’t it odd how many will believe psychics, horoscopes, or some supposed seer like Nostradamus, but they won’t believe all of the truth revealed in the Holy Scriptures? Some of these willfully ignorant people even claim that Jesus never existed. They have not done their historical research, even among secular historians such as Flavius Josephus.
I realize that as scripture states, some people are sheep that will hear the voice of Jesus and follow Him (John 10:27) and some are the goats who never will. So, it is the sheep to whom I say, “IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP!”
If we grab a newspaper and grab our Bibles we will see that the signs for the Lord Jesus to return are happening right before our eyes. If we particularly keep our sights on Israel and what is happening there, we will know that His return is very near. Appearing as the pieces on a Chess board, the rulers of the nations line up to take counsel against Israel.
Psalm 2:1-3, “1Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing? 2The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, 3“Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!”
Israel’s enemies are continuously plotting against them, shooting rockets at them and claiming land that God has given to Israel as their own. This is Biblical history as well as Biblical prophecy coming to pass!
But there are also signs in the heavens, signs in the weather, and signs in the economy, all of which are predicted in the Holy Scriptures. Read Luke chapter 21, Matthew chapter 24, the books of Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, and Revelation. If you read them seeking the truth, you will find it!
Perhaps you are fulfilling prophecy by being one of the scoffers mentioned in this passage found in 2 Peter 3:3-8, “3Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, 4and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” 5For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, 6through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. 7But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. 8But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.”
It is time to stop scoffing and wake up.
Mark 13:33-37, “Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come. It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert.”
Time is running out. Jesus IS returning soon! The only way you will be prepared is if you have repented of your unbelief and have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior and are following Him.
Jesus said, “‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
Is he knocking on the door of your soul? If so, then answer Him before it is too late.
